It's That Time of the Year Again

I don't know if I'd call fall my favorite season of the year, but I always seem to look forward to it the most (as seen here and here).  This year is no different.

Today, I brought out the fall decorations.  Next weekend I plan on going to Hobby Lobby to pick up supplies for fall crafts.  Last year I decoupaged pumpkins and this year I plan on painting them.  It's only a coincidence that painted pumpkins are on this month's cover of Country Living.

Next weekend I'm also planning on going by Buchanan's and Wabash to pick up vegetable transplants and seeds for the garden.  This summer we used solarization to kill the weeds and over the past month I've been working on reconditioning the soil.  I hope we have a kitchen by the time the vegetables are finished growing so we'll have somewhere to cook them.

I keep finding these awesome pumpkin recipes on Pinterest (like pumpkin coffee cake), but I haven't been able to make them since we're still lacking half a kitchen.  So sad, but probably a good thing for my waistline.

Oh, I put out the hummingbird feeder again this past week.  I've seen one hummingbird so far and I know there must be more because the feeder is already empty.  I'll probably make some more food for them tomorrow.

It looks like we're out of the 90's here.  I've been running on the track at the YMCA since it's been so hot, but I hope to be able to run outside soon.  It will be nice to not see the same landscape at every minute interval.

There's also the fall TV lineup to look forward to.  New episodes of How I Met Your Mother, Fringe, Walking Dead, etc.?  Yes, please.

With so many good things going on, who couldn't love the fall?

This guy loves the fall too:

Can't you just see the excitement oozing out of him?

He was being so patient while I took pictures.  He was actually so much more excited when I said, "Radar, okay," and he was able to run over to me and cover me with kisses.  He's sweet like that sometimes.

I really love the fall. We finally got alittle rain here today. Temps not expected to go over 90. That's fall weather for us. While I really liked the painted pumpkins on the cover of the magazine, I think adding black lace to an orange pumpkin (vs. green in the mag) would be very interesting. Have fun with the crafts! Miss you guys!
