Trader Joe's in Houston

I hate to do it, but I have to reference Swamplot again.  Swamplot, if you keep informing me of all the good stuff, I feel like I should just work for ya.  Want to hire me?  Part time maybe?

Anyways,  Swamplot reported yesterday that Trader Joe's is looking to open stores in Texas.  For those of you aren't familiar with Trader Joe's, it's a grocery market of rather cheap affordable specialty items.  Think wines, cheeses, crackers... great picnic basket finds.

I first experienced Trader Joe's when I lived in San Francisco last year.  I couldn't be more excited about the possibility of it coming to Houston.  Maybe it's because of the great memories I've attached to it.  At the time, I was rather burnt out with the training program I was in while in San Francisco.  My cousin graciously offered to entertain me for the day and get me out of my 12 hour work day routine.  We spent a Saturday at the Farmer's Market at the Ferry Building, made a trip to Trader Joe's, and picnicked on the beach.  It was exactly the break I needed.  Enough of reminiscing, but I really was impressed with Trader Joe's.  Whoa... I know I've expressed our views about the Walmart moving in next door, but I think I would be rather pleased if a Trader Joe's was within walking distance.

Can you see how I've attached good memories to it?

I went to Trader Joe's on our recent trip to So. Cal to see Phil's family and attend a business conference. I thought it was a cool and unique store. When we were there, the guy in the wine section told us they were coming to the East Coast and Texas. So exciting. I know I'll be patronizing them as much as possible.

Oh that would be great if Trader Joe's came to Houston. I haven't been there lately, but I do love that place!
