Austin Weekend Trip

We had a second annual Austin trip for Jason's birthday.  This year, some of our friends from high school and their three little ones joined us.

We stopped at Pinthouse Pizza for lunch before heading to our rental for the weekend.

The house we rented was wonderful.  It was still in Austin, but pretty much felt like you were in the country.  There were horses, donkeys, chickens, turkeys, dogs, and cats.

The first afternoon we went to Jester King for a bit before heading back to the house for dinner.

The next morning, Mabel and I hung out at the house watching the wildlife while Jason and Matilda went to McKinney Falls State Park.

Jason said Matilda had a great time.  She swam across the swimming hole in her float and had a grand time exploring the caves.

On our last day, we went grabbed some BBQ at Salt Lick before we got on the road.

This is how Matilda looked by the end of the trip.  She was supposed to be coloring on paper, but decided to give herself tattoos instead.
